Ingredients:
Beetroot (
peeled and grated) - 2
Onion – 1
Curry leaves –
7 to 8
Urad Daal/ split black gram – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Saunf/Fennel seeds powder – ½ tsp
Green chilly – 3
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt
Recipe:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add urad daal and saute till it changes the color.
- Once urad daal is slightly brown add curry leaves, fry for a minute.
- Now add chopped onion, and chopped green chillies.
- When onion turn translucent , add saunf powder and fry for a minute.
- Add grated beetroot and salt, mix everything well.
- Put the lid on and cook for 10 mins on low flame.
*You can add grated coconut and coriander if u wish to.
